PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN
Rude Mechs is dedicated to ensuring that everyone has access to see our productions, regardless of economic status. To that end, we offer Pay-What-You-Can admission, and we mean it quite literally. Every Thursday and Sunday night of every mainstage production patrons may select their own ticket price based on what they can afford to pay. We also offer sliding scale admission ($12 - $25) on Fridays and Saturdays.
POST-SHOW TALKBACKS
Immediately following each Thursday night performance of Mainstage shows, we invite you to stick around to join the cast, crew, and creators for a lively and engaging discussion about the work.
Grrl Action begins as a summer program for teenage girls to generate material from their personal experiences and craft this work into a powerful and personal public performance 100% written and performed by the participants. The program extends throughout the fall, winter and spring as graduates of the summer workshop create personal projects working independently, with individually assigned adult female mentors and as a group. Girls spend a weekend intensive retreat together and take monthly field trips to local arts events. Each April the year-round projects are presented at Grrl Wrap at The Off Center.
Grrl Action gives girls the space and skills to gain a public voice while they build confidence, interact with professional female artists and performers, and make new friends from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
