One week's accommodation at the Vashon Island Retreat House for up to four people. The house is located on beachfront property on glorious Vashon Island which is nestled in Puget Sound between Seattle, Tacoma, and the Kitsap Peninsula. Vashon still maintains a largely rural feel as it is only accessible by boat, but remains a 15-minute boat ride from West Seattle. Population 12,000.

The house itself sits on 3 acres of largely wooded property with a cleared 180 degree view looking west toward teh peninsula. There are virtually no neighbors. The house is an old cabin-style house, but has been updated with high-end contemporary amenities, including a new kitchen, gas fireplace, 31.5 bathrooms, and a nice outdoor, uncovered jacuzzi and wooden deck.

The house is about 1,000 sf. with a master bedroom (king-sized bed) and another railroad car style bedroom with two twin beds. Laundry on-site.

Just outside the master bedroom sits a gigantic 300 year-old fir tree. Beachwalking is encouraged on the pristine and quiet beaches. The Olumpic National Park is a short boat ride and 2 to 3 hour drive away. Enjoy teh only temperate rainforest in the Northern Hemisphere, stunning mountain peaks and fresh, clean streams, lakes and rivers. Nearby are the San Juan Islands (whale watching, etc.) and Vancouver, BC.

This is a great place to just relax and hang out, to decompress and also to use as a gateway to teh incredibly diverse and alive region. July - September is the dry season with little to no rain and daytime temperatures between 70 and 85 F.
